About the trip

A cool, refreshing tour filled with scenic vistas and clean mountain air. It is ideal for guests who are looking for a more leisurely experience in the misty blue mountains up-country. From the airport you will head into the central highlands into Nuwara Eliya. Pure tea country, with plenty of Hiking and some Golf to be had. From here you will travel to the island’s second largest city and historic capital – Kandy which is a treat to explore. Once the ‘up-country’ mountain air has you revitalized, you will head back to Colombo.

Itinerary

Day 1: 
Arrive and be directly transported  on a scenic route up-country to Nuwara Eliya where you will be accommodated for 4 days in comfortable colonial Estate Bungalow in a Tea plantation or a Motel in town based on preference.  Relax and take in the good weather!

Day 2: 
For the golf fanatic this will be an ideal opportunity to play at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, which can be arranged. 

Day 3: 
Keep this day for a stroll in Haggala gardens, a hike in Horton plains to see “world’s end” and Baker’s falls.

Day 4: 
For adventure seekers, climb of Adam’s peak (during the season) which is within easy reach of Nuwara Eliya. 

Day 5: 
Transfer to Kandy and spend two days in the cultural capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World heritage site. Kandy is also home to the most revered temple in Sri Lanka the Temple of the Tooth relic. 

Day 6: 
For the keen golfer golf can be arranged at the scenic, award winning Victoria Golf Club.  We recommend you just sit back and relax or take short walks around Kandy – the weather is great!

Day 7: 
From Kandy take a drive down to Colombo where you would spend a night in the City to do some last minute shopping before catching the flight back home.
