Away from the hustle-bustle of Ooty, near the Avalachi reservoir lies Destiny; a unique farm stay. Spread over about 70 acres it's a fully functional farm and offers various ways of experiencing life on a farm. With a warm sun, a nippy breeze and a great view of the blue hills it's a place to sit back and soak in while you put life on hold for a while.

You could start the day with an early morning trek or simply sit out and watch the hills come alive to the sound of birds. Go on a tour of the fields to see how carrots, potatoes, cauliflower, cabbage etc are cultivated and what methods are used. Take a horse ride to the waters edge for a spot of fishing in the late afternoon and return to see the cows being milked in the evening. Wind up your day with a camp fire warming you in the chill of the hills. Or you could just sit back in the lounge or curl up in the sun with a book.

There are a lot of activities offered depending on the weather. You could go trekking, rappelling, fishing, or just take long walks. It's a great place to have an adventure or just unwind. It's a place the kids will simply love. With lots of space to run free, geese to chase and horse rides to take, they will be kept busy. Watching locals tending the fields and cows being milked will be a memory to cherish and learn from.

The food is fresh and tasty with a lot of local veggies used. Dining with a view overlooking the hills and the reservoir is a beautiful feeling. It's a moment to share and cherish forever.

The rooms are cozy and warm with wooden floors and a lingering smell of wood. Each room is named after people from the wild-west and explorers and has a bit about them.

There are 18 cabin-styled rooms with fire-places in the deluxe rooms.
Destiny has something for everyone, from kids to adults and families to corporate companies. If you're coming here for a quiet getaway make sure to avoid busy weekends and check to see if groups have made bookings at the same time.
